Everything comes down to choices.
Ethan’s choices led to his death, which led me to the bridge, a detour on the way to his funeral. I chose to turn around when I heard a car stop. I chose to get into the car with him. I even chose to go on a date with him. I didn’t choose to fall for him, though. And I certainly didn’t choose to be lied to for months.
QUILLEN
I chose to leave my hometown, to forget about everything that happened. Then Ethan died, and I chose to come back for the first time in years, knowing what I would face. They still blame me for what happened back then.
If only they knew the truth.
I chose to pull over on that bridge, and when I saw her face and looked into her eyes, I chose to keep the truth from her. Now she has to choose whether or not she can forgive me for my lies.
Luna Terrone never wanted to settle down. A free-spirit by nature, she spent her time running from responsibility, going through a long list of men and cities in the process. When she meets Tyler Hastings, she expects nothing but a fun night in yet another new city, but fate has other plans. As they get to know each other, the pair discovers their flaws may be too much to manage. Falling in love and spiraling out of control simultaneously forces them to look at themselves, and at each other, in a way they never thought they’d have to do. Ty is haunted by a past he can’t escape. Luna is faced with a future she can’t imagine. Both wanting to help the other, they begin to regress little by little on their own. Love is madness, and for Luna and Ty, madness rules.
DISCLAIMER: Love and Madness is a spin-off of CLEMENCY, and while Clemency meets the standards of a romance, Love and Madness does not. If you are anticipating a romance novel, this may not be the book for you.

A Massachusetts native, Leah currently resides in New Hampshire with her husband and their five cats. She's been an avid reader since fourth grade when she fell in love with the "Dear America" books and Lemony Snickets, "A Series of Unfortunate Events." When she's not writing, she's likely reading. If she's not home, she's probably at the beach. Leah works as a mental health clinician by day and writes by night. She received an MFA from Southern New Hampshire University in 2020. Leah enjoys wine, Italian food, candles, coffee, and being outside. She hates cold weather, pants, staying in one place for too long, and going to bed (though she does love sleeping.) Leah has always had a passion for writing, but it wasn't until the Winter of 2015 that she finally got an idea in her head for her first novel, Clemency, which she wrote the following summer. Her second novel, Love and Madness, was released in 2018 and is a spin-off of Clemency. She is currently working on her third novel; a standalone romance.
